Potter Michael Stanley has been a studio potter since 1999. Training with his parents, Malcolm Stanley of Stanley Pottery and Christine Stanley of Ewe and Dye Weaving Studio, Michael has quickly become immersed in the PEI artisan community.
Scorched Earth Pottery started in 2005 with original product lines, using cone 6 oxidation firings with porcelain and stoneware clay. Michael currently shares studio space with Stanley Pottery in Breadalbane PEI. The beauty of this rural area inspires Michael to create motifs found in the abundant nature that surrounds his work place.
Michael invites you to drop by Stanley Pottery to browse, buy, or just have a chat on the deck.
